WATU sita wamefariki dunia popo hapo katika ajali mbaya iliyotokea katika barabara ya Arusha Namanga eneo la Longido Mkoani Arusha likihusisha gari dogo la abiria na lori la mizigo.

Tukio hilo ambalo limethibitishwa na Jeshi la polisi Mkoani Arusha lilitokea  5 za usiku wa kuamkia jana na kusabaisha abiria sita waliokuwa katika gari dogo aina ya noa kupoteza maisha baada ya gari dogo aina ya Noah kugongana uso kwa uso la lori la mizigo.

Mashuhuda wa ajali hiyo walisema kuwa gari dogo ambalo lilikuwa likitokea Arusha likiwabeba wapishi waliokuwa wakitokea jijini Arusha kwenda Longido kwa ajili ya sherehe za kipaimara na harambee  ya kumalizia ujenzi wa kanisa la KKKT.

Harambee hiyo ilikuwa iongozwe na waziri Mkuu mstaafu Edward Lowasa na katibu Mkuu wa CCM Abdulrahman Kinana.

“Nilikuwa wa kwanza kufika katika eneo la ajali nilishiriki kutoa miili sita ya watu waliopotea maisha wengine wawili walikuwa na hali mbaya wapo Hospitali “alisema Sendeu Parmwat shuhuda na mkazI wa Longido.

Parmwat alisema kuwa watu wote waliofariki papo ni wapishi waliokuwa wakiongozwa na mtaalamu wa mapishi anayejulikana kwa jina maarufu la Bonge Jijini hapa.
Alisema kuwa polisi walifika muda mfupi na kuanza kuchukua miili ya marehemu pamoja na kuwapeleka majeruhi katika hospitali ya Mkoa wa Arusha Mount Meru.
Shuhuda mwingine Stephano Laiser alieleza kuwa lori lililosababaisha maafa hayo lilikuwa limepaki pembeni ya barabara na halikuwa na taa.
Akizungumzia kuhusu ajali hiyo kamanda wa jeshi la polisi Mkoani Arusha Liberartus Sabas alisema kuwwatu hao wali[poteza maisha na wengine wawili wamelazwa hospitali ya Mkoa wa Arusha ya  Mount Meru.
“Abiria sita katika Noa yenye namba T 329AWJ  walipoteza maisha na hakuna majeruhi yeyote katika lori ,tunaendelea na uchunguzi lakini taarifa za awali zinaonyesha kuwa Noa ilikuwa katika mwendo kasi”alisema Kamanda Sabas.  
Aliwataja marehemu waliotambuliwa  kuwa ni Hamidu Msala maarufu kwa jina la Bonge,Habibu waziri ,Faridah Ibrahim ,Martha Gabriel wote wakazi wa Jiji la Arusha wengine wawili bado hawajatambuliwa.
Waandishi wa habari walishuhudia  ndugu jamaa za marehemu wakiwa katika uwanja wa eneo la kuhifadhi maiti katika hospitali ya Mkoa wa Arusha kufuatilia habari za ndugu zao.
Naye muuguzi wa zamu katika hospitali ya Mount Meru ambaye hawakuwa tayari kutaja jina alithibitisha kuwepo kwa majeruhi  wawili ambao alisema hali zao ni mbaya.
“Wako katika uangalizi wa juu ,majreha ni makubwa sana mmoja yuko hoi lakini tunajitahidi kuokoa maisha yao”alisema Muuguzi huyo.

A multi-million-dollars Orkonerei Maasai Social Initiative (OMASI)’sExecutive Director, Mr Michel Bluteau has been arrested by police in Arusha allegedly in possession of bhang.

OMASI is a multi-million-dollars group of companies active in dairy and meat processing, environmentally friendly charcoal and honey production, with its base in Maasai land in northern Tanzania.

Acting Arusha Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Japhet Lusingu said in a statement that a 56-years old French investor was nabbed on Monday morning.

Operating on tip-off, statement shows, police detectives nabbed the suspect who was aboard Toyota Land Cruiser GX with registration number T. 626 AXU, near Sakina police station within the Arusha city.

ACP Lusingu said that his men stopped the vehicle and after searching they found the suspect in possession of bhang.

The police boss further said that Mr Bluteau was arrested with the five rolls of narcotics concealing in his laptop bag.

“Investigation on the matter is still underway and once it is done, the suspect would be arraigned before the court of law to answer the charges facing him” ACP Lusingu concluded in the statement.

Sources said that the investor was released on Monday afternoon after being questioned for hours in Arusha police headquarters.

The government has vowed to work closely with the tour operators in a latest effort to boost tourism growth in the country.
Natural Resources and Tourism Minister, Ambassador Khamis Kagasheki made a pledge at the weekend during the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) annual gala dinner held in Arusha.

“I commend TATO for taking the tourism industry to the higher level as the country has witnessed a number of tourists clinching to one million mark this year, lets work together to boost the arrivals and revenues” Ambassador Kagasheki told the audience.
He promised the tourism captains the maximum cooperation from his ministry to make their operations more easy than ever before.
The Minister said that Tanzania doesn’t get the visitors it deserves taking into consideration that recently was voted as the second world best tourist destination only after Brazil in terms of natural attractions.
“We all know that the government is not doing business, our biggest role is to create an enabling environment for private sector to operate smoothly, so its up to you tour operators to promote tourism in order to bring more visitors” he stressed.
For his part, TATO chairman, Willy Chambulo demanded the government to recognize the contribution of tourism sector in the country economic growth.
Chambulo said that this year tourism has been the leading sector to bring more foreign currencies, surpassing the traditional gold mineral.
Bank of Tanzania (BoT)’s latest economic review shows that during the period between September 2012 and September 2013, revenues from tourism rose from 1.61 billion USD to 1.82 billion USD, while gold export revenues declined from 2.15 billion USD to 1.74 billion USD.
“We need the government to do the neediful like on security issues and taxation in order for them to promote the sector effectively” Chambulo explained.
TATO’s Public Relations chief, Fazal Zuher said the gala dinner will be an annual event to bring together players in tourism sector and the government officials not only to celebrate, but also to chart the way forward.
“This is new TATO and this gala dinner is one of the raft of events that will be held annually to bring together the key players in tourism and government officials to networking” Fazal concluded
